Lorna Jane Week 3 Recap #activelivingchallenge

It has come to an end .. I’ve completed three weeks of sharing what I try to do daily .. #movenourishbelieve with Lorna Jane and Fit Approach with the Sweat Pink Community Week 3 Day 15 – Practice Active Living Daily – Trail running with friends .. one of my favorite places to #sweatpink. Day 16 – What Part of the Future Are You Most Excited For .. “I cannot see what lies ahead, but I have faith it will shine.” Day 17 – Sweaty Favorite Workout – Ahhh .. a good jump rope circuit always leaves a puddle of sweat! Day 18 – Short Term Goal – My short term goal is to run 1,200 miles this year with Run This Year. It’s a year long challenge .. and I am getting closer every day (as of today 790/1200)! Day 19 – Favorite Healthy Snack – Trail cookies .. a little oatmeal, bananas, nuts and coconut oil, oh & chocolate – yum! Day 20 – Favorite Lorna Jane – I was at the Launch Party for Lorna Jane in Roseville and picked up my first Lorna Jane piece! Day 21 – Favorite Part of Active Living – For me it’s all about the adventure. The adventure of never knowing what I’m going to experience, find or see (all while living the Lorna Jane way) .. I also have great friends who love the adventure right along with me! Even though the third week has come to an end I will continue to Move Nourish Believe and strive for progress and not perfection .. everything else will fall into...

Week 2 in review #activelivingchallenge

The Lorna Jane #activelivingachallenge week two ✔️ .. What I’ve learned this week through this challenge – I find that when I’m faced with “challenges” or things to share .. it sometimes literally takes me 4 hours to hem and haw over what I want to put out there {really does anyone else do this?}. However, I must say doing these challenges helps me open up a bit more and really think about things that I may not ever take the time to think about .. always a plus! Week 2 Day 8 Favorite Super Food – New to me superfood Hemp Hearts. I add these plant based protein packed gems to my smoothies and oats. As a vegetarian I’m always looking for plant based proteins to add to my diet. Day 9 Try Something New – I got out there with my teen boy and hopped on a skateboard (albeit only for a second) .. boy it is harder than it looks! Day 10 Practice Active Living Daily – I do this daily with running or strength training. Day 11 – Daily Motivation to #movenourishbelieve – Move daily, Nourish my body with good fuel and Believe I can do what I set my mind to. Day 12 Favorite Quote – I chose Lorna Jane .. I was at the Roeville Lorna Jane Launch Party and found this in the fitting room .. “Mirrors are just glass and you are more than that” – Lorna Jane Oh so true .. I have learned to love my body for what it does not what it looks like (okay, learning daily!). Day 13 How Do I Get More Out Of Everyday – I use my Erin Condren Life Planner to keep track of my daily activities, goals and notes. I use it for journaling as well. Day 14 Ultimate Dream Goal – I have so many dream goals .. seriously the list is long and changes daily. I want to live a happy life enjoying what I set my mind to .. personally, physically and with my family being my number one priority. What a week to reflect on things that my mind may be too busy to stop and think about .. I am a busy mom, wife and an athlete trying to make it it all happen everday! My Recap .. #activelivingchallenge week one

I love challenges, so when Fit Approach and Lorna Jane announced a new one I jumped on the challenge express .. Although I wouldn’t call this first week so much of a “challenge”, but more fun and a great way to express and share photos of what I love. Week 1 Day 1▪️ Favorite Summer Workout Move – I chose burpees because to me they pack a great all over one move sweaty punch! Day 2▪️ Favorite Healthy Recipe – My green smoothie has been my summer staple .. the greens with ginger — yum! I love to start the day off right! Day 3▪️What Active Living Means to Me – Active living Means that when I work hard .. I am sore yet I feel accomplished I have a better sense of my body and it’s capabilities I can feel every muscle in my body moving I can breath in and out freely I can let my my mind be kind to my body I feel strong .. I can feel my body work for me the way it is intended to .. I am living! Day 4 ▪️ Favorite Place to Relax – For me it’s a nice warm bath with lavender Epsom salts. A great way to end an active, busy mom, wife kind of day .. Day 5▪️ Snap a Workout Sweaty Selfie — Pretty self explanatory – who doesn’t have one, two or 20 of those to share! Day 6▪️Moving/Working Out With Friends – This is what I love to do – sweating and moving with friends makes it more fun! Day 7▪️Something You’re Grateful For – I am so grateful for this body of mine that gets up at crazy hours to go run for miles .. on adventures I’d never dreamed about before I found my inner “athlete”! I am also grateful for the friends that are just as crazy as I am and love these adventures right along with me. I don’t necessarily sit down and think about all these things every day .. so I guess this challenge is just what I needed! I cannot wait to see what Lorna Jane has in store for next week .. bring on the daily...

Talk about HAPPY ! I got word that a new Lorna Jane Store was opening in my local mall, Westfield Galleria at Roseville . As you know, I love fitness and clothes .. so I checked it out .. I will admit, I had heard of Lorna Jane activewear and I do love her philosophy Move Nourish Believe .. but had never tried on any of her clothes .. The store was full of color and had a positive vibe (even in the fitting rooms). The staff at Lorna Jane was very welcoming and was certainly there to help you with whatever your heart desired. For me, I was on a mission to find a new sports bra .. I browsed the colorful racks and shelves and took in a stack of sports bras .. but struck out. So I turned my eye to tank tops because I never have enough to sweat in ! There were so many to choose from – it was so hard to decide! Check out all the positive words .. really who isn’t motivated by these?!? Aside from being really cute with happy colors, her line of clothes is made shrink resistant, fade resistant and with moisture wicking material (winning!)! Surely if I had an unlimited amount of spending money .. I could’ve had a new outfit for every day of the week! After trying on several styles one of the associates brought me the Barbey Excel Tank and it was a perfect fit. Look out weekend I cannot wait to wear it and sweat! I walked out of Lorna Jane with the feeling of .. color is so happy, as well as a new tank for running (sweating). Thank you Lorna Jane .. your store is definitely one to visit for fun and happy clothes, as well as feel good about yourself mojo and who can’t use more of that! **Disclosure** I received a $50.00 gift to use towards Lorna Jane goodies ..
