At the start of the fifth month I am reflecting on how fast this year has gone by already (I think I may have calendar whiplash!!)

… Seriously, wasn’t it just January? What happened to February?!? March I remember you .. (I ran my first ultra 50k .. I am an Ultra Runner)! April where did you go? May .. can you please take your time?!? Anyone else feel the same way?!?

I may have mentioned before, that I am participating in Run This Year, a virtual running challenge. At the beginning of the year I made the goal of running 2014 km or 1,251 miles (my biggest mileage goal ever!) .. roughly 100 miles a month or 25 miles a week. As of April 30th I have run 453 miles (yahoo!) .. I am on my way. For every mile I am grateful for my strong body that carries me physically and mentally.

On May 3rd, I will be running my first mud run as a blogger – so excited for this! I will be running and adventuring through 3 miles and 10 obstacles and of course mud in the Pretty Muddy Women’s Run – Sacramento . A few weeks later I will be attending my first retreat .. the Refresh Summit. Where it will be all about fitness and faith .. something I have been wanting more of and finding balance. I want to be inspired!

On the last day of the month I will be heading down to San Diego with a friend to run part two of our 3 race endeavor on June 1st .. as we are on the hunt for the Cali Bling medal and we get to run Rock N Roll San Diego. I am ready for fun in the sun!!

In the midst of all the running and refreshing fun of May .. there will be several school events to finish off the school year (my youngest teen will be moving on up to high school, and my biggest teen will be a senior!), a big Girl Scout award ceremony for my girl and her troop who have worked very hard this year .. and everything else in between .. I hoping I can hang on the for always crazy, worth every single minute, wild ride!
